Muna wa Wanjiru asked: For those of you who like to drink beer there are many different ways that you can enjoy the refreshing taste. The main ways are with a beer can or beer bottles. When you are choosing your brand of beer you will notice that you have a selection of beers that are quite delicious when they have been cooled down. The bottles themselves can perhaps be regarded as being reminded of the beer type that you like.
While the majority of beer bottles are small sized – just a little larger than cans – they hold more than enough beer to quench your thirst. You will find that the colors of the glass are based on coloring that will protect the beer from degrading. The main colors you will find these beer bottles in are amber, dark green, blue and even brown. The darker glass which is used has been specially developed to ensure that the amount of sunlight which might hit the bottle is reduced.
In some cases you may find that using beer bottles is quite impractical as you need to be careful when you are handling these bottles or even moving them. Since the beer bottles are made solely from glass you will that chilling the bottle is easy but a little risky. However the risk there are lots of advantages to using beer bottles that you will not find in beer cans.
For instance in some countries these beer bottles are used as thief deterrents. This is accomplished by breaking the bottles into pieces. The broken ends are placed in the ground, walls and other places where you want security. The sharp edges which protrude out of the ground will make sure any burger that comes around will get a nasty surprise.
Now this is not the only great thing which can be found with beer bottles. Beer bottles have the advantage of being easily recyclable material. The aluminum cans on the other hand pose a greater problem. When you put your glass beer bottles for recycling you are providing the beer companies a way by which they can re-use.
The many different uses of beer bottles are apparent from the way we use them to protect our homes, take care of the environment and of course drink beer with some style. The beer bottles that you see in supermarkets all play their part in letting you choose the best method to drinking beer. Now sit back in a relaxing chair and take a long swig of chilled beer from your beer bottle and see life roll lazily by you.

S. Michael Windsor asked: Vitamin Enhanced Beer?
Recently, a new beer has been created for all of you desiring a beer with less of the “hangover” effects in the morning. This new type of beer, often referred to as “vitamin beer” is “enhanced” or packed with vitamins such as A,B,D and E, as well as folic acid. However, the creator of the beer, Larry Schwartz, has run into a slight road block in terms of listing these “key” ingredients as the governmental agencies have informed him that by placing the vitamins on the labels it would be making a statement that the vitamin beer was actually good for a person.
In all actuality, however, most beers do contain vitamins such as B and niacin in healthy doses. The vitamin B usually comes from the yeast used to ferment the beer. So what is the big deal about Stampede Beer Co.’s new “innovation” as they refer to the type of beer overseas? It has to do with their supposed infusion of vitamin B in the beer. This extra boost of vitamin B is intended to assist individuals with reducing the risk of developing a nasty hangover. Vitamin B is oftentimes depleted after consuming alcohol in an evening which can lead to certain symptoms during a hangover such as grogginess and sluggishness.
In regards to the nutritional benefits of beer overall, it has only been in recent times where beer has suddenly been deemed as unhealthy mostly due to such groups as the “prohibitionists” from early 20th century and other anti-drinking groups. However, before these groups, beer was actually considered a nutritious and pure beverage by civilizations thousands of years in the past due to the already-vitamin enhanced beverage in which no known pathogen can survive leading to a clean, or “pure”, drink that has been enjoyed for millenniums.

D J asked: Why does drinking beer make the nose stuffy & sometimes throat scratchy ? ( but just sometimes with the whole throat thing )
Other people say it does the same thing to them, but nobody that I’ve ever talked to has ever explained to me why, or how it happens.
NO, I’m not allergic … I’m usually fine the next day, maybe I just have regular sinus congestion … But when my nose is clear after using my nasal spray, after a few beers. It gets all clogged up again.

Muna wa Wanjiru asked: Beer statistics are one of the many ways that beer companies can keep track of how much beer was produced and how much was consumed. The statistics will also help with predicting the trends of consumers. As their tastes change it is very important for the various manufactures to have an idea of what types of beer to manufacture.
The beer statistics are generally drawn from the amount of beer barrels that are produced by the breweries during a given year’s period. From the information that is revealed the trends in beer drinking can be understood.
This information about beer statistics is gathered from many different branches of the beer trade. You will see craft beer that is made from 100% malt or wheat barley. A pub or even a bar will have information which is vital to the beer industries viewpoint about beer distribution. The various amounts of beer that are need by these places will also be told to the representatives of the beer companies.
While this information is quite helpful it does not provide a full picture of the beer that is consumed by people. For this reason beer breweries may look at the different beer statistics which they have received and make a decision based on the information they have. This means that some beer brands may be discontinued for a brief while or phased out altogether.
Other beer brands may have parts of their recipe altered to suit the implied tastes of their customers. The various beer statistics may also be useful in plotting if a type of beer within the market should have a different look, advertising image or if consumers have ideas about what these beers should taste like.
While this does not seem like it has anything to do with how beer statistics can help to raise the sales of beer, these statistics are based on what consumers like and think. By looking at these various items a beer company can make its beer to the standards which customers’ desire.
Even though it may seem that looking at beer statistics is a waste of time, there are many people who benefit from research which is done into the field of beer tastes. The statistics and the research are what help a beer company become well known among customers. The beer statistics are also great for helping a beer company to become one of the leaders in the field of great tasting beer.
